The Romanesque church, nicknamed “dell’Annunziata”, is the last testimony of ancient medieval Giulianova, built on pre-Roman remains dating back to the 10th century. The facade is made of terracotta, with a marble and porphyry portal, rich in interesting reliefs and sculptures, the work of Raimondo del Podio, a leading artist of the 14th century from Atri. The interior, damaged and remodeled, has two naves with terracotta and stone pillars and capitals, and rounded arches.<\/p>\n
